Drops - trail
Drops er med inde på markedet for freestyleboards. Deres seneste skud på stammen er Trail 300cc og 400cc. Navnene er taget fra det meget manøvredygtige trailbike. Og hvis boardsne opføre sig som Drops beskriver, er navnet velvalgt.
Boardet er kommet godt fra start og teamsejler Konan Lang vandt Prince of the Lake in 2002 på en af prototyperne. Boardsne er presenteret som free-wavestyle boards så man må siges, at være godt dækket ind med disse to boards i garagen… om der er nogen der har råd er noget helt andet.
“246cm is the length for both boards. The width of the 300c.c. is 61.5cm with 91 liters volume and 63.5cm with 98 liters volume for the 400c.c. Their sizes will allow riders to enjoy a new style of freeriding the waves or in flat water. The blending of bottom design Nose Channel Concave, short length and extra widths, give them an incredibly quick acceleration and pop! for jumps. In overpowered conditions the boards will remain in full control where other freestyle boards can’t handle. The main S.O. recipe, of keeping the lines smooth and surfy, is present in all the Drops board line for 2004, with no exception of the ‘04 Trial boards. The smaller 300 will change the concept of Freestyle Wave riding by allowing riders to experiment their style in wave on-shore conditions ranging to bump and jump freeriding . The 400c.c. with 98 liters of volume is a true all-terrain freestyler for medium to lighter winds, will cater to the technical freestyler/freerider’s need and maybe even help them invent a new maneuver.
