For how long have you bin windsurfing, and for how long have you bin racing?
I have been windsurfing since I was 5 years old. My parents, my sister and other family did windsurf on holidays during summer. When I was 12, I starting racing, and when I was 17 years and I started taking it much more serious, so within the last 7 years it has been serious racing, before that It was much more just for fun.
What is your goal for 2009? International/ National
The best I can due on the Formula Tour and I want to go to Europe to sail this Formula Tour. I also want to do some Slalom, but Formula has priority because I enjoy that more. So I would like to finish in the top 10 in the ranking. And I would like to finish in the top 15, where the price money is, in any international event I can do.
National: I have just won the national title and that was my aim, I have done that previously in 2004 but last year Steve Allan came along and beat me.
I also like organising events, I have done that together with my dad. Last year we had the nationals in my city Brisbane. So I am also trying to grow the sport here, because if nobody does that there is nobody to race in 5 years time. So my aim is also to help promote the sport. I run the homepage www.storm-riders.com.au and www.AUS120.com
How often are you on the water?
When I am in Europe I sail full time. I probably don’t sail every day but I do sail about 5 days a week. I try to also have a few days doing something else, and to rest.
When I am back in Australia I am actually doing a bit of work or enjoying a bit of the summer here, so I am probably only sailing two or three times a week.
