Westwind i Hvide Sande får lørdag den 16. september besøg af KeikiSurfer Team.
Et tysk koncept der rejser rundt i Europa og formidler windsurf budskabet til de unge der har lyst til at lære at windsurfe. Blandt andet med en stribe Team sejlere i 12-14 års alderen.

On the tour through Central Europe the youth project KeikiSurfer is more successful than ever expected! At each tourstop they welcome around 30 high engaged kids, wishing to learn new freestyle moves. Thanks to cooperating with windsurf schools, they are able to handle the VDWS-KeikiSurfer-Roadshow events. The 6 high engaged teamriders instruct the kids in a smart way. Splitting the mass of kids by their abilities, they practice together in small groups at new moves. As a result of the great organization of the events, the Saturdays are finished as follows: each participant learns at least one move! And the whole day is for free, thanks to the non-profit concept of the project.
The VDWS-KeikiSurfer-Roadshow has already been to Lake Garda, Steinhuder Meer, Fehmarn, Darß and Föhr. Especially the last summer events contained sunshine and a lot of wind. And with some luck, it can be proceeded this way at Dümmer See, Ringkoebing Fjord and Brouwersdam. All these windsurfspots offer flatwater conditions, perfect for freestyle action!
The youth team, supported by Starboard/Severne, gets the chance to visit numerous new windsurf spots. With their 13 – 15 years, they would not be able to drive through whole Europe. For this reason, they can use the Fridays and Sundays of the events to learn new moves. Besides windsurfing, they have to graduate a hard fitness program and get the chance to follow their interests. Top positions on their hit lists are watching DVDs, listening to music and practicing on their windskaters. Please feel free to contact them by mail when you have special questions.
