N 44 Vidar Jensen i første one handed double forward loop

Tidligere verdensmester Vidar Jensen N 44 udførte i tirsdags den første one handed double forward loop i Pozo, GC. Reinhard Muller var på pletten og fangede det imponerende hop i en 13 billeders sekvens.

Vidar comments:

November 5th 2002 will go down in history for me as one the most satisfying days I had on the water. In 92 I attempdted my first double foward loop.The double still recognised as one of the most dangerous and radical windsurfing moves.

But now 10 years after my first double it was time to take it a step further. I did my first one handed double on an early morning session in pozo on my 4,0 instinct. in 35 knots and head high waves.It was perfect conditions for what I had in mind……

I hit the wave going downwind full speed,as soon as into the air let go with my front hand and into the first rotation. The first loop is completed when im allready on the highest point. then vertically straight into the second rotation………..
