Ny wave world champion kåret på Ho'okipa
JP Aloha Classic 2013 – fredag fortsatte doubleeliminationen på Ho’okipa beach park under lidt svære forhold med store bølger og let ustabil vind. Dagen hvor der både skulle findes en vinder af JP Aloha Classic 2013 og en samlet vinder af PWA world touren 2013. Og det blev dagen hvor 2 windsurfere for alvor slog igennem på den internationale scene og manifesterede deres talent og dedikation med super fed wave performance på ikoniske Ho’okipa.
Levi Siver forsvarede sin sejre fra singleeliminationen mod den kun sytten-årige Bernd Roediger og blev kåret som vinder af JP Aloha Classic 2013 og vandt dermed også sit første PWA event.

Vinderen fra årets PWA Cold Hawaii, Marcilio “Brawzinho” Browne, røg tidligt ud i singleeliminationen, men vendte stærkt tilbage i doubleeliminationen og sikrede sig en 5. plads og dermed nok point til at sikre sig sejeren i kampen om at blive overall PWA world champion 2013.

It’s been a long week and as much as you try to think about it, it’s always there in the back of your mind, and now that it’s actually over and it’s done, it’s not a load off my back but I can relax.
