Story: Former Rugby player and general ball sports kid, never really went near the water until i was 14 or so, i had a few goes on a windsurfer, some surfing, some dinghy sailing but nothing more than a few weeks a year on the occasional family holiday. I was studying at 18 and went to do a work placement at the welsh national watersports centre and that was it, i knew what i wanted to do….. after 12 months training there they offered me a job and i was on the water every day, teaching sailing, windsurfing, powerboat driving, kayaking and other things too. I spent 5 years there, windsurfing more and teaching less, eventually i started some competitions and now when i look back i don’t know how it happened? I’m windsurfing all the time!

UK windsurfer Phil Horrocks has joined the ranks of the PLASMA team. Phil finished in the top 20 of the professional windsurfers on PWA world tour in 2008 and recently won the Open African avesailing Championships, held in Cape Town in January.
On top of being a strong addition to the team, Phil will also be responsible for distribution of PLASMA in the UK.

PLASMA owner Robert Sand: "I have known Phil for a while, he is a dedicated talented athlete as well as being a nice guy, so we are very happy to have him join the team. Phil and Alex will be doing all the PWA wave events this year, it will be very exciting to follow them."

Phil is currently in Hawaii training and PLASMA wishes him the best of luck for his 2009 season
