Red Bull Ragnarok

Så er Red Bull klar med sit første snowkite event, og vi har netop modtaget følgende pressemeddelelse:

We are organizing Red Bull Ragnarok, the first snowkite endurance race with a knockout format.

The base for this one-of-a-kind event is Haugastøl, a small town between Oslo and Bergen, which is the entrance gate to the El Dorado of all snow-kiting locations, Hardangervidda.

The first 200 riders signed up on redbullragnarok.no will enter the race in two classes (Ski / Snowboard) -> 3 hours – 6 rounds – about 100 km. After each round, if not already given up voluntarily, a number of snow-kite heroes will be eliminated.

The name “Ragnarok” stems from an event in Norse mythology, describing the last battle between the good and evil Gods, where only the heroes of the battlefield survive. Red Bull Ragnarok imitates this myth in that only a few snow-kite heroes will succeed. Endurance is paramount and only the toughest riders will make it to the finish line.

The best snowkiter in the world joined the competition already and we would like to have as many international athletes as possible.
