Roxy Chicken Jam aflyst pga blæst

Den europæiske Roxy Chicken Jam, som skulle have været afholdt 12-14 dec blev aflyst pga af dårligt vejr. Kvalifikationer blev afholdt, men finalerne der skulle have været afholdt om lørdagen blev udsat til søndag. Men om søndagen var blæsten blevet endnu stærkere, og de var tvunget til at aflyse.
En masser riders, bl.a. Torah Bright og Kjersti Buaas-Oestgaard havde været i Kaprun hele ugen for at forberede sig til den 6-stjernede TRR konkurrence.

Roxy Marketing Director, Maritxu Darrigrand sagde følgende:
"Due to the heavy winds at the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier Park, we can’t hold the Roxy Chicken Jam this weekend. It would have been too risky for the snowboarders to ride under these conditions. We are all disappointed that this important TTR event can’t take place."

"But we had a very nice evening yesterday at the Christmas masked party at the castle Kaprun. And now we all look forward to the next Roxy Chicken Jam in the USA in March!" Tilføjede Maritxu Darrigrand.
