Ski - Roxy signer Sarah Burke
Roxy Snow can expect big things this winter with the addition of a new team member: the one and only Miss Sarah Burke. Burke signed her contract with Roxy this month after seeing the opportunity and potential Roxy has to offer. While Roxy Skis have only been on the scene since last winter, Burke has been around long enough to establish herself as one of skiing’s leading ladies. The signing of Burke to the all-girls team of skiers and snowboarders is an exciting step for both parties.

Burke says she couldn’t be more excited to join the Roxy team.
“Being part of such a successful brand is one thing, but being with a brand that is 100% devoted to pushing the progression of women in sports is something really special. I am honoured to be a part of that.” Sarah Burke
Burke’s presence will strengthen Roxy’s team and help the company make their push into the industry. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with Sarah. Her skill, personality, and talent personify what it means to be a Roxy rider. Building such a strong team shows our commitment not only toski, but to a well-rounded snow program,” said Randy Hild, the SVP of Global Marketing for Roxy.
Roxy’s unique marketing approach is a fresh change for girls in what is often a male-dominated sport. Roxy Snow is more than a brand; it is a representation of a lifestyle targeted towards women of all ages on the mountain. In addition, Roxy is focused on uniting the ski and snowboard athletes as one team with a shared passion for what they do in the outdoors.
Roxy Ski has expanded their line for the 2006-2007 winter, including a hardgoods collection that has doubled in available styles. The brand is continuing to grow and develop in order to meet the needs of every age and ability.
Burke is joining other athletes such as Jessica Cumming to make up the 2006-2007 team. Despite Burke’s switch, she plans on sticking to her usual winter schedule. “I don’t think anything will change. I still want to do contests, follow the good snow around, and film with MSP…just keep having amazing winters.”
