British Snowboard Championships
The best of British snowboard action takes place this week at the snowsports festival TTR THREE(3)STAR event British Snowboard Championships, hosted by top freestyle snowboard resort, Laax, Switzerland between 10th-17th March, 2007.
The annual British Snowboard Championships, also known as the ‘Brits’, consists of a wide variety of formats. Two sets of TTR Ranking Points are available for both men’s and women’s results in Halfpipe, and a combined result from both Big Air and Slopestyle results. Entry is purely open to British nationals.
Tuesday 13th March kicks off with SNO!zone Halfpipe Championships with a strong riders field including reigning title-holder Lesley McKenna (GBR). Currently TTR World Nr 9, McKenna (GBR) could add TTR Ranking Points to her five TTR results to take her higher up the Women’s TTR Top 10.
The Quiksilver Big Air Championships takes place on Wednesday 14th March, with a newly formed head-to-head format that will showcase the nation’s best riders. Top names include last year’s winner Nate Kern (GBR) who took the event by storm by stomping the first ever Cab 1080.
Thursday 15th March, the Animal Slopestyle Championships will offer the most challenging set-up to riders with Laax possessing one of the biggest and most progressive parks in Europe.
