Dominique Daher, French journalist, working for the largest European Ski magazine, Skieur. After 4 years travelling around the world as a professional skier, representing K2, vuarnet Raichle, and many more. He started a new carrier as photo editor for Skieur Mag. His knowledge of the ski industry, the athletes and media gave him a serious advantage for this job and is still positive for the magazine. To choose the pictures, to interview the best skiers and snowboarders push me on the stage as photographer and personal confident of many of them. As a photographer he works for Red Bull, which is a great recognition for a sport photographer. Now a days he is also working on a mountain bike magazine which was launch last September and which is already one of the best European mountain bike magazines. Sharing his time between his job as an editor and photo editor for those two magazines and the job as a photographer, you will still find him travelling to the remotest spots, keeping the best moment of the world.
Richard McGibbon was born in Scotland and grew up on the beaches of Sydney, Australia. These days though he seems to spend most of his time residing in St.Anton, Austria with his love of surfing being replaced by his love of snowboarding and climbing. In winter it is hard to catch him on a day when he has not on the mountain either riding or climbing (or a combination of both). Outdoor activities also take up a large portion of his summertime with his travels taking him to the four corners of the world in search of adventure. Adventures like -boarding in the Colombian Amasonas.Yes….. Snowboarding.
Nicolaz Falquet. Swiss film maker and the winner of the Verbier extreme film festival 2003. His strong skiing skils still make him an even better skier. A Scott ski and Mammut clothing pro athlete.Very pro……
Klaus Fellmeth, German skier living out all aspects of the sport by skiing The steeps, performing at long ski touring days or simply just surfing big turns, at most European resorts. His big turn edge hold is stronger than the large curves of his Porsche Boxter racing the Arlberg pass road. To finance his fast passions, he actually has a serious job as an IT consultant in a major German company.
Maria Opelz. Austrian / American, ex snowboarder, now ripping big freeride Ski turns in southern France. Her hobby as photographer gives her the sight of Both sides of the camera, finding the best lines. In her second season on skis sheallready gained sponsorship with French ski producer, Dynastar and Sun Valley clothing. One of the names you should look out for in the future.
Jacob Slot. Telemarker extraordinaire, with numerous first descents Throughout the Alps, has set a lifestyle of documenting remote world travel. His Skiing exploits have taken him from 8000 meter peaks in Tibet, to the Wakon region In Afghanistan. He telemarked major mountains of Peru, Bolivia, Colombia and Chile. Other great ski adventures took him to Greenland, the Arctic and many times To the Continental icecap of Patagonia. A talented writer and story teller. Jacob has shared his adventures with his internationally published articles. He Is now working as a expedition and athlete co-ordinator for Piltriquitron Destinations and privately he presents some of the industries finest companys, Arc‘teryx, Genuine Guide Gear, Masurao skis and Crispi boots.
Anders Olesen, is a young Danish freerider who is planing to use the trip to lean to mess up with the big boys. He has the potential to do, but also the road in to the backcountry pulls him. Skiing the back country of St.Anton in Austria and Val Thorens in France for the last 5 seasons he developet a very keen but smooth style. French skicompany Dynastar, Helly Hansen and Spyoptic suports him.
Philip Meier. Verbier residence. Professional skier and member of the Salomon and Red Bull freeride teams. In the freeride scene one of the most known and respected athletes. A great person to play with, if you can keep up with him You might have the chance to see what the words free ride associates to modern skiing! Skiing at exotic destinations has become a trademark for the Swiss skier who in fact has everything at his house door, but still travels as an ambassador for his sport.
