LAY DAY FOR THE RIP CURL PRO AT BELLS BEACH
BELLS BEACH, Australia (Saturday, Apr. 7, 2007) –Small waves at Bells Beach have prompted event officials to hold off on running Round 2 of the Rip Curl Pro presented by Snickers today, Apr. 7, 2007.
According to Ben Matson from swellnet.com.au, small waves are expected on Saturday and Sunday, with a small new swell expected to build later Monday and into Tuesday.
While there won’t be any Foster’s ASP World Tour surfing at Bells Beach today, the Rip Curl Music Festival will be in full swing with bands taking the stage from 10am to 4:40pm.
The Rip Curl Women’s Pro crowned Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) its champion yesterday.
Another call will be made tomorrow morning at 7am.
