Mercedes Nicoll Joins The Flow Team

Flow Snowboarding officially welcomes Mercedes Nicoll as the newest addition to the pro team. Mercedes has actually been riding on the team since January of this year. Currently, the 23-year-old Mercedes divides her time between Whistler, BC and Mammoth Lakes, California, when she is not competing on the world tour.

Mercedes has an impressive snowboarding resume. Most recently, she was a 2007 X Games and US Open superpipe finalist. Mercedes also represented her country competing in the halfpipe for the 2006 Canadian Olympic Snowboarding Team in Torino, Italy. In addition to Flow, Mercedes also rides for Mammoth Mountain, Iris, and The Source snowboard shop.

Together Mercedes and Clair Bidez will be major influences on Flow’s incredible successful women’s product line known as “No Man’s Land”. Mercedes’ current Flow set up includes, the Myriad 149cm, Prima Bindings, and the Luxe boot.

Mercedes joins current Flow Pro Team riders Scotty Lago, Antti Autti, Risto Mattila, and Clair Bidez. The Flow amateur team includes Tim Humphreys, Jeremy Thompson, Petja Piiroinen, Christophe Reynders, Graham Hoffman, Hans Kristian Bergheim, and Jed Hoffman. Look for Mercedes and the rest of the Flow Team in the upcoming Flow team video.

Flow is the originator of the reclining hiback binding. Since it’s beginnings in 1995, Flow has been the leader in sales of this technology and now is currently the #2 binding in sales in the World. Over the past ten years, in addition to perfecting the reclining hiback, Flow introduced its own line of boots and boards, “Triple Threat Technology ”. This system of boots, boards, and bindings is designed to heighten ease of use and control when used together. The Flow Team helped prove this by winning the 2006 Transworld Team Challenge, including best overall rider (Scotty Lago) and best halfpipe rider (Antti Autti).
